Wow Christmas flew by! Having levi there to celebrate with us made everything so exciting!! I tried to cram all these christmas traditions in so levi wouldn't miss out on anything....even thou he slept through the whole month! He got totally spoiled by his grandparents!! Hi my name is Levi,
Levi Jamison McArthur to be more specific! I am now four weeks old but my mother is a slacker and can't get anything done cuz i'm so dang cute! The pictures below will prove it! Let me update you..... I was born on october 10th at 2:11 am! My mom and I had a deal when i was in the "hotel de womb", If i didn't hurt her on the way out and if i made a quick exit then she would give me anything I wanted for the rest of my life! Sucker... Five hours (start to finish) i graced her with my presence and rocked her world! All 7 pounds 0 oz and 20 inches of me! Upon arrival, i had a hard time with that whole breathing business... Its hard ok! So after daddy cut off my leash and mommy got to kiss my head then they took me down to the nursery to help me! I had the best nurses and doctors! After about four hours i decided it was time to pull it together and let the nice ladies take me to my mom so i could match a face to the beautiful voice i heard for so long! Dang she is a looker! Daddy got super lucky to have such a hot wife! Well the rest is pretty much history! I love to sleep, eat and poop!

36 weeks.. I can't believe that I'm almost done being pregnant!! Let me just tell you i'm THRILLED to be able to fit into normal clothes again! Even my "big" pajama shirts are barely fitting over my belly! Fall is my favorite time of year for fashion, scarfs, boots, blazers and jackets. Oh I could start pushing right now (to get the kid out..) But I will hold off on all the "tricks" till 38 weeks then the fun begins!

Most commonly asked question: Are you ready? Well for a blanket answer to the world, Nope not even close, but I have a package of new born diapers and his car seat, thats all I really need right? I still have a few showers to attend in jr's honor, and my sister threw me the most AMAZING SHOWER! But mentally i'm not ready! Will I ever be?

The nursery is not even close to being done and I have come to terms that he won't even need/use it for awhile so pictures will have to wait... :) Plus the house hasn't been deep cleaned yet, I guess the nesting thing has not kicked in! I'm jumping into motherhood the right way! Feet first and my eyes closed!

Well my friend from work convinced me to do maternity pictures, most of our ideas came from pintrest.... the most addicting thing since sliced bread! Neither her nor I are professionals but I think we did a pretty good job! Plus cory was a good sport to tag along and sit through this with me!

18 weeks: Craving...SALSA!!!!

Happy birthday to me,

I'm still feeling awesome!! Bed time gets a little tricky, when i lay on my side jr. flips so he is jumping on the bed. So i turn on to my other side and the little champ finds his way over there and does the same thing!!! What a smart little slugger! The only thing that seems to get him to stop is putting Nora Jones on and sticking the speaker right next to my belly! Then he is calm as a cucumber (Grandma Woodliefs classic saying)!

p.s.........Homemade salsa season is coming up, If anyone needs a good taste tester, you know where to find me!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE CUTE LITTLE MOMS AND MOMMIES TO BE!!

Mom- Thank you so much for all you have done for me and Cory!!! You are such a great example to me! You're an amazing mother, words can't describe the respect and appreciation I have for you. I love you!!

Karen- You have raised an amazing son, you know what he did this morning?... He made me breakfast in bed! He treats me like gold and I have you to thank for that! Thanks for always looking out for us! I love you!

OH ya....and Im pregnant!!

Due: October 11th, preferably around eleven so i can get Jimmy Johns for lunch!?! Beach club on wheat if anyone is taking notes.

How: I drank the water thats being passed around!! I swear everyones pregnant right now, and having girls......We find out this friday! (you got nervous with the how part huh!!)

Predictions: I totally thought it was a girl up till about one week ago when i had a dream.....

We were at some ladies house and she informed me that if we wanted to see what I was having that I should go up into her attic and we would find out......so Cory and I wandered up there (who wouldn't) and there was this little four year old boy. Jeans, button up shirt and a little puffy vest with Blonde blonde (aka very blonde) hair spiked up in the front!! He ran to us saying mommy....daddy!!! We played with him for a little bit and then when it was time to go he said "See you soon....."! I would have put money down that it is a girl and now i have no idea!!!! Good thing we are finding out in five days or i would go to the mall and fetal photo it up!

Here's a picture of my belly at seventeen weeks and drum roll please....The little person growing inside of me! This was at 11 weeks, the doctor pulled up the picture and was shocked at how active the little peanut was! The little one was kicking and punching the air till it floated up and would stop to float down, once it hit the ground it would do it all over again!!! Playing game already!

I can't wait to meet you, we are already having parties in your honor in hopes that you will make your grand entrance soon....I keep telling your mommy to start pushing but apparently you have 4 more weeks of cooking!?!?! That's all the time I'm giving you....before..... well i will come get you! (Linds beware) So we had this great shower and made lots of yummy treats, bite size Cinnamon rolls, lemon pound cake bites, fruits and dip (colored blue cuz i love food coloring) and muffins! We sat around for hours talking about how you might look like me....highly unlikely but I'm crossing my fingers! Well little man i already love you! Good luck with your "birth" day, I'm sure it will be a party!

I have not been in school for....awhile now (can you say shug-a momma?) Someone has to bring in the dough right? Well everyone has been talking about their new years resolutions and I all the sudden feel as if I have missed a huge assignment due 1-1-2011! I'm still waiting for Christmas to come, maybe that's because Cory hid my new camera strap that I was going to get for Christmas....apparently his hiding skills are top notch cuz we still can't find it!! So anyways here I am ten days late and still have not even made an effort to come up with some. I think starting a new year with fresh goals and different perspectives is VERY IMPORTANT! So here i go....Find that camera strap-*-*-Learn to cook, my ward is doing a cooking class and I'm going to be better at going, those who have seen Cory know i need to fatten that boy up!! Plus he has suffered enough this last year and a half with my ... CREATIONS!!! Heaven bless my husband, he can choke down whatever I put in front of him and still somehow keep that smile! ( Shanna i need your help with that one....)-*-*-*- Decorate the salon, ksl will and has been my friend for that! We found a couch on ksl for ....FREE!!! To the untrained eye it was butt ugly but to me, it had potential.....but it didn't fit in the door to the salon, we even took the legs off and it was a no go! We turned around and sold it for 50 bones! So I'm now on the hunt for a love seat that I can reupholster and a cute design for curtains! I want something different....any suggestions? Get more Clients, extension....color....cut....doesn't matter! I also want to start moving toward weddings, I have done a lot in the past and need to start showcasing the hair and makeup I have done to get my name out!! There is nothing better then a bride on her wedding day! I love everything about weddings (heck I still throw on my dress here and there just to bring back that day!) Take a photography class, I have the equipment...i just need the knowledge!!!

For our Christmas present from Corys parents....we went to mexico with the whole family! Talk about a perfect gift!! Beach, Scuba diving, pina coladas, Bonding time!! It was so nice to just be TOTAL lazy bums for a week! If your wondering, yes it was a rude awakening to come back to snow but it truley does feel like christmas now! I am so greatful that we could go on this amazing trip with the people we love! Thanks mom and dad! We love you!

Rocky Mountain Raceways Awards Banquet 2010!
This season of racing has been quite a ride! I have been around Cory and his bike/racing before (i mean our prom "day date" was down south at his desert race!) Plus in the desert racing you only see the riders for about ten seconds as they race on to the next mark but in motocross you sit on the bleachers and watch everything go down! Watching your husband out there is a different story! I was a little more attached to the man rounding the corners at 50 miles per hour.....But we made it through this season with no broken bones or cracked skulls!! At the end of each season they have a nice banquet where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are the only ones invited! Guess who got 1st place over all in the vintage class......Cory!! His dad placed 1st in the sportsman class! The 1st place guys get a free tux rental from Tuxedos by Lee. Cory in baby blue and his dad in mint green.....don't forget the ruffles!!

By the end of the night Cory had to lose the bow tie...but it didn't go far (Thanks to me!)
And did i mention his trophy is almost FIVE FEET TALL?!?!??!!

Feeling Domestic?
I sure was when i was craving TACO SOUP and decided to make it myself!
Soup season is my favorite and what better way to start it off then the classic of all classics?
Want to taste my sweet goodness?

1 pound of boneless chicken cooked and shredded
1 can (15 oz) crushed tomato's
1 can (10 oz) enchilada sauce
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
1 can (14.5)chicken broth
1 can (15 oz) corn
1 med onion -diced
2 cloves of garlic-minced
2 cups of water
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp crushed bay leaves
1 Tbl dried chopped cilantro

Grease crock pot, cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours!!!
Enjoy!!!

For our anniversary we partied like it was nineteen sixty NINE!!! Or 2010! I cant believe my wedding...my big day was a full year ago (ok so now its a year and one month)!! Cory and I have had a blast this past year! We have sure had our share of struggles but i truly think we've had it pretty easy!
Things I have learned this past year:

Check if the seat is down.... BEFORE you sit down in the weeeeee hours of the morning when you are half asleep! That's a rude awakening!!

And that's it!!! ha oh just kidding but this has been quite an adventure! I cant wait for the next 32093840129384 years!!

Aug 14th 2010 we played at Alpine days for the first part of the day! I love the feeling when a whole town gets together and celebrates where they live!!! We watched the parade, had awesome pulled pork sandwiches and walked around the cute vendors! I treated myself to a darling headband made by my friend Kyler! She is so talented and makes the greatest headbands! Then we relaxed at home and took a two hour nap while watching chicken run! We got up to SLC and attempted to check in to the INN ON THE HILL, (great little old fashion historical bed and breakfast on capital hill!) ATTEMPTED is the key word here, here's how it went down...

Walk in, I start snappin pictures right and left.
Cory walks back to the desk to check in
Rings the service bell
no answer
rings again a little harder this time because it says press hard..... no answer
rings one more time before coming to explore with me .....we think they are showing someone a room
I read a whole People magazine
Cory watch's TV
Cory calls the Inn....no answer
I ring the bell...thinking I have magical powers that with my swift touch it will work...no answer

Cory calls a second time.... LADY ANSWERS!!! It sounded like she just woke up, to our surprise she had! Cory, trying to keep her attention finally explains that we are trying to check-in (harder then it sounds apparently) She comes tripping up the stairs WASTED!!!! I could not stop laughing she was so funny! So after 30 mins we finally get to see our room!!! It was beautiful! Cory did a great job picking out the location and room (with some rather subtle hints from your truly)! We stayed in the Saltair room, queen sized heavenly bed, jetted HUGE tub, awesome view! That night we went to bucca di beppo (sp?) best part...we got a free brownie because it was our anniversary! We were on cloud nine! Its sad that something so simple could bring us so much joy!!! Seriously if you ever want to win my heart over....give me chocolate! After that we went and played on capital hill!I totally recommend the INN ON THE HILL.......even with the wasted lady! It just added to the experience!

Cory- Thank you so much for taking me out for a romantic night on the town! I have been so blessed to be married to you and i'm reminded of that every morning i wake up to you! I couldn't have asked for a more loving and caring husband! Thank you for your sweet spirit you bring to our home! I love you baby!

So Recap of the summer.....blogging has been last on my list! Sorry to say but this is the truth!!! Weddings up the WaZoo!!! Plus everything that comes with that, Bridal showers, Bachelorette parties, wedding dinners/lunch in's, and I have loved every minute of it!! My friends Meg and Lindsey got married (not to each other....:)) this summer along with Cory's best friend Blake.....now I'm just waiting for them to enter the blogging world, we all know it will happen sometime! All their weddings were AMAZING! Congrats you guys!
Well biggest news of the summer...................................I HAVE NOT GONE BOATING YET! This is a sin, I know! With jumping into real life (married life, grown up stuff, working everyday to pay bills) we have not had anytime! Well the weather has not helped much! Sniff sniff, hopefully we will be able to get out there at least once before the snow hits!!! Sorry to say it but we all know its coming, with this crazy weather and all!

Cory hosted the second BARN GOOD SHOW and it was a Hit!!! We had over forty people show up to this one! The barn was full, every bench filled, and even a few unexpected visitors... I guess a cat had a litter of kittens, probably sometime earlier that week, so they were meowing almost the whole show! It added to that great old fashioned barn feeling :) With seven performers, each with several songs, the show lasted an hour and a half! There was great music and great company! He wants to make this a summer event, so keep your ears open for the next show!

We also Celebrated our 1st ANNIVERSARY!!! congrats to us!! Everyone says that the first year is the hardest...if that's true we have nothing to worry about!! Pics coming soon.............

Barn good show!

Cory put on a "barn good show"! He had everyone play acoustic and either cover songs or just play something they have created themselves! It was a blast! Blake Hallock, Steve and Terresa Hulmes, Brian Walker and Cory played! They all did an AWESOME job! It was fun to hear all different kinds of music! Also this barn was so old and fun to shoot! This barn was perfect for this, lights were already up and seats already there! This time it was pretty small gathering, like 15 or so people were there, But everyone loved it and got pretty excited for the next one!
The next "Barn good show" is august 20th, I'm pretty sure it will be around the same time as the last, eight 0'clock! We are trying to get a bunch of people there this time! Let me know if you want more info about it....address and everything! Plus it would be awesome if you wanted to play something or you know someone that would want to! There will be a piano there and a PA to mic guitars and vocals!!

Thank goodness the weather has gotten warmer....I was about to move to Hawaii just to keep my sanity!! (hey not a bad idea huh?!) Well this summer we have kept ourselves busy with little projects around the house.... you know "Honey do lists"! (So this is Cory... editing Katie's post so that the spelling is right... WE by we she means ME...)We have a list of things we need to get done around the house before we can even think about getting a mac book computer !!!! P.s Cory bought me a new camera!!! What a sweet heart! He found my same kind of camera on ksl and surprised me for a late birthday present!! I love when my birthday celebration lasts till middle of June!! Anyways back to the projects....

We are painting glossy stripes on one wall of our room, the wall backing up to our bed! Then we are going to put crown molding just around that wall to frame it in and put up an old door for our head board! Pretty easy project, if we just put our minds to it! This "weekend project" has turned into a month long EXTRAVAGANZA!! and we are still not even close to being done! haha Story of our lives!
Clean out the garage, We are getting closer to this goal! Cory hung up our bikes we just need to actually clean out the thing and give the four wheeler back to his parents! Once again pretty easy but some how still not done!!!
Hook up the salon sink (which Cory bought for me back in December!!) Finally the sink is mounted it just needs to be hooked up to the water! After our flood we decided we need a pro to come in and hook it up! We are not about to explore that ourselves!
Paint the Office desk! I'm actually really excited about this! We decided to paint our roll top desk black and mod-podge on the indents old fashion news paper! Sounds weird but it will look way cool, Plus new handles will really help this poor desk look SEXY!!!(She forgot to add my modern touch!!! Fully automatic roll top, I'm installing a switch and motor to open and close it.. I guess that's the engineer in me.)

Plus many more projects to come......
We have started on the bedroom wall....clearly didn't get far!

For fathers day kneaders was giving out free french toast!!! YUMMY!!! We took our chances on them turning us down because cory is not a father...yet, but they were totally cool and let us pretend we were part of the cool father club!!! p.s this french toast is to DIE for!!!!!!!
Cory decided he needed a chef hat...This was the best we could do!! haha (actually I didn't decide anything, Katie smashed it on my head and laughed... naturally I left it on to keep her laughing)

Driving down main street there is almost more traffic with the runners and bikers then there are cars!! Alpine is stuffed with fit little people trying to look their best in their new yellow polka-dot bikini! So naturally i thought i would jump on that! The work out videos do no justice when its sunny outside! This last tuesday i thought it would be nice to take a little jog outside, Harmless right? Wrong, i thought i was going to die! I got to the end of my driveway and my ipod dies, i should have known to stop right there....This running business is not my thing! Yet i decide to keep on, keepin on! So i get one block north and see the cemetery hill, I see people run up hills all the time and they look just fine! So i attempt it, and failed! I NOW realize you need to either walk up STEEP hills or at least work up to it. I was so tired after that i ended up walking around the creepy cemetery and jog/walk/look pathetic as i worked my way home! So today i planned on redeeming myself with biking instead of running! Which went a little better, but i think its only because on my way home it was all down hill and i just sat there and enjoyed the ride! You got to give me credit for trying right! Moral of the story is....i need to get my lazy butt out of the house more!! Plus get some sun on these stems of mine! I think people were blinded by my white legs! That's a whole other story! And now i want to go boating.... any takers?

Luck LuckLuck...... Is a funny word!! One day you have it and the next day... its gone!!! All of it! So we are all aware of our flood, Well that is all cleared up and dandy! That was just an adventure in our eyes, everyone goes through it hopefully only once. Little did i know that was just the beginning of a real eye opener! So we went to AZ this past weekend with Tara and Wyatt! We have been planning this little get-a-way for a few weeks, it was kinda a nice break from school, work, pretty much life!! Tara was down there for work so Cory, Wyatt and i drove down wed night at 8. We drove all night ....well they did, no one wants me driving at night i don't have great depth perception at night, we wanted to get there in one piece! So we got there really early in the morning! We saw the sun set and rise! So we just played all day, i brought down my new NIKON D3000 (remember my baby?) so i could play around with it and learn how to really use it! Well that night as we were walking back to the hotel Cory and i decide to take up a bike ride offer of one of those guys riding around pulling people on a little two seater benches. It was only five dollars so we hoped on...Purse and all. We got close to the end of our ride..... keep in mind it was only about ten minutes long when i realize my purse is gone, (we think it fell off the back). It had my life in it, i know that's lame to say but really.... My new camera, My snap shot camera, New phone Cory got me for valentines day, My new pink ipod Cory had just gotten me to replace my last one that was stolen, planner, wallet, about 150 bucks and all of my cards, The keys to the car...and all these things were nicely placed in my Juicy bag i got for my birthday last year...not even one year old, it was just a baby! Once i realized it was gone we back tracked and called my phone, it was already turned off and my purse was no where to be found. That ...Blank-etty-blank person who stole my purse got well over 1000 dollars worth of crap that probably didn't even mean anything to them. The worst part about it, is knowing someone out there has my identity and could really do damage one day.

Word of advice....don't caring things worth any value in your purse! haha
But lets look on the bright side...we got a $10 ride for only $5!!! What a deal!

The rest of the trip was fine, it was just hard to be on vacation when you don't have any money!! The weather was AWESOME!!! 95 degrees ...who can complain! Great food and company! So moral of the story is...if you see someone with a Nikon D3000 camera and they are not truly appreciating its beauty and splendidness, let me know cuz it could be mine. That is the item i will miss the most!! We will just have to start from scratch and save up again! Hey second times a charm right? RIGHT?

The Flood!

Pictures say a thousand words.....

Cory and i were planning on coming home for lunch around 1:30 on Friday the 9th......So around that time Cory calls wondering if i could come pick him up and said that i needed to hurry. I was thinking he was sick or something so i hurried over there and he looked and acted fine!! As i got to the four way stop right by our house Cory turns to me and asks...."are you ready for an adventure?" So here i am thinking he is going to make something really good for lunch....and as we turn on to our street he breaks it to me that our house is flooding!!! He was so calm i didn't really believe him! But sure enough the renter above us was running around outside our house trying to figure out where the water was generating from. He had called Cory at work to inform him that our walk out basement was half way full of water and he didn't know where it was coming from! So as i walk in to our house the only damage i could really tell was that the whole kitchen was underwater and running into the laundry room. But as I walked into the cold storage there was water coming down the walls! We shut off the outside water but the water was still pouring in our house because it was coming mainly from the front door where the water was a foot above the base. Surprise Surprise our sprinkler system was not winterized properly and the pipe was SHATTERED in more then one spot! Oh the joys of being a home owner!!! Within minutes we had both of our parents and wyatt helping us get the water out! We caught it in time so nothing was really ruined! We ripped up the carpets that day just got that back down, we now are just waiting for one more spot to dry out and then we can get our kitchen floor fixed!!!! It really has been a adventure!!!

We have saved up since before Christmas for this little sucker, we would put our extra cash in our fund here and there and never counted it...then one day we got ambitious and started counting all our one dollar bills and WE HAD ENOUGH. So the next day we went and got her (yes its a her) the guy at Allans camera must have thought that we robbed a child cuz all we had was small bills! She is beautiful!
......Now if i only knew how to really use her......

Brooklyn

Meet Brooklyn..... She is just a little over a month now and so photogenic! I met her mom a week before she was due and she didn't even look 4 months prego! Then next time i saw Shaylee, Brooklyn was born and ready to party!
First we tried the whole naked baby thing.... that didn't work out so well! Brooklyn is a pooper! I got there while she was getting changed and during the whole diaper switch she peed everywhere so we thought we were good for at least a few shots with out a diaper..... we got a few (which were me checking the light) before she pooped on the only blanket we really wanted to use! Needless to say we just wiped it off and turned it over, please don't judge we really needed that blanket!

Shaylee (the mother of this darling baby) made this blessing dress in ....HIGH SCHOOL!! Talk about being prepared!

I love how she decorated her room! It so girly with the soft pink and floral print! Good job Shaylee

We have decided that every month we are going to have a Salt Lake City trip, Go up there and discover new things SLC has to offer! So we took the tracks up there (people watching on the tracks is the BEST!!!) We ended up going to the gateway and eating at Z tejas and then killing time at the Clark Planetarium before SALSA DANCING LESSONS STARTED! Yes that's right we went up early to take the lesson before jumping right into the Big Latino Culture Night at Studio 600! We had a blast!! We didn't know we could move like that!

No excuses....I fell off the wagon, That's the only reason for this almost two month leave of absence!! The wagon of blogs! I haven't even blog stalked!! That's how bad i have been! Yes we do have Internet but with two jobs sometimes i just don't have time! Good thing 2010 starts a new clean slate! Let me back track a little!

Christmas day! Our first Christmas together
12 o' clock rolled around and I was ready to celebrate Christmas.... but turns out Cory wasn't, so we had to compromise for 6... I woke up rolled out of bed got Cory up, and walked out to the Christmas tree, but not before I ran into a wall of tape on the other side of the door, you know Santa trap... inside my stalking I found a note to go into the laundry room, inside the dryer I found my first present, a shampoo bowl!!!

One note led to another, and I got a chair to go with the bowl, a tray to hold hair supplies, and the best ever was found in our unfinished room, which Cory kept me out of for the past 2 weeks, a miracle in itself... As I walked in i stepped onto the most beautiful hard wood floor!!! He spent almost all day Christmas eve finishing it!

I love the San Diego temple... we went to see Cory's cousin Rachelle and Dan's wedding. It was so fun to meet all the Marler family... His mom is from a family of 9 kids!!! I found out I am number 120 in the Marler posterity.

We celebrated our first.....Christmas party!! It was so fun to have a bunch of our close friends over for a awesome dinner and a white elephant exchange! These glasses are the coolest! When you look at the Christmas lights they turn into shapes!

Having no Internet really puts a damper on blogging! No worries friends I'm back in business! Well close, we will have renters by the end of this week, once they move in we will be sharing Internet with them! There goes my life....blogging all the time! So here is all the random things we have been up to over the past month and a half!!

Here we are.....locked into this marriage....literally!!! Cory looks nervous....babe no worries i wont bite....to much:) Classic Corn Bellys family picture!!! Date night with the almost newly weds!!!

We got fed up with the corn maze....going into it you think you are going to have this life changing experience in a field of corn, I'm here to tell you its not life changing...its really just a bunch of really tall corn stalks and a lot of confused people!

Lyns and bri's wedding!!! It was so BEAUTIFUL!!! They were all smiles the whole day! Two weddings in two months....sorry mom and dad! Cory and I can proudly say we are not the newly weds anymore, we have passed the title on to you lyns!

We went up to the lava hot springs for the weekend, just for fun!! We met a few of Cory's mission comps up there! We made it a weekend, found and cute little motel (with color TV) and then on Saturday we drove down to Logan to visit some old friend! I love our random weekend trips!

OK...here's the moment you have all been waiting for!! OUR NEW HOUSE! This house is to DIE for! Its everything we could have ever asked for in a first home...and more!! Sorry the pictures are kinda crappy but you get the point!! This is our "table" for right now! It our island, and we love it! We bought the chairs and target and Cory put them together, it works! They are perfect height and number for our little family!

Our kitchen! .... yes that is a red kitchen-aid in the corner!!! I was so excited when Cory's grandma gave us that, i now have to start cooking so i can use it!

This is our living room! We got the couches and chair for free! People are so nice to newlyweds!

Sunday- Rolls around and still not in the house, we ended up sleeping at Cory's parents house

Church 11:00- In our pants and tee shirts from the night before, we decide we need the blessings and still go just sit out on the couches.

Mothers BMW- wont start.....who really knows why? (our car still locked in our house....with the house keys)

6 minutes to church- We decided that we REALLY needed the blessings so we jump on his parents bikes.....no pedals just little stubs cuz they are mountain bikes.

Bike to church- UP HILL.........yep we got sweaty!

Stayed for one talk and one song and went to go visit our friend because we were getting funny looks! Who blames them for staring at us.....we were in smelly jeans and dirty tee shirts!

Needless to say, we biked down to our house and through my genius ways got in!!!

Moral of the story.....go to church!

No Internet!!

Ok, sad news of the week, there is no Internet in our new house..........BUT GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE MOVED IN!!! We are in the house and ready to start actually living in it!! Sorry no pictures, its hard when you have no comp to download them!! The new house is BEAUTIFUL!!! We have lived in it for a little over a week with no problems.....that is until last night!!
We had Cory's parents over for dinner as a thank you for building the house slash showing i can cook......at lease one meal!!! (now they can sleep at night knowing their son will be fed....most of the time!) So after the prayer we were all standing around for a minute and all the sudden i see two drops come from the light above us...... oh yes you better believe it, we had a leak!!! Not just any leak, with in seconds it became a full stream! We hurried and turn off the water and lights and ate in the living room awaiting the water man! Ross.....what a gem, he came to our house at 8:30 on a Sunday night to rip up our house to find the problem! When they were putting in the hot water...something, a nail had punched a PBC pipe! We are super lucky that it happened at the moment we were all standing there and could catch it before we had 6 inches of water covering the basement floor!!! Now with only two medium sized holes our house.... it's fixed! Now we are just crossing our fingers that there are no more leaks!

They are ALIVE!

Our house is ALMOST done!! These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, we now have cabinets, all the appliances in, and....everything! We are just waiting for the carpet to go in (that may have gone in today) and this Friday is the final inspection! So if we pass we will be rollin in this Saturday! I cant believe how blessed we are! Cory's dad is a general contractor and decided to build two homes up in alpine, one house is up for sell and the other is a rental!! We will be renting out the basement and some lucky person will set up camp upstairs! Plus we both got jobs right there in alpine and will be working less then a mile from home!!

We have had a BLAST living with his parents...seriously! They are awesome, but it will be fun to play house all by ourselves!

Our first big purchases: Washer and dryer.......and Fridge!

Labor day- Bear lake!!

I think.... I know I'm going to be sad when we have kids and we cant just get up and decide to go to bear lake for the night! We knew we wanted to go camping for labor day but didn't really have any plans on where to go or what we were doing! So as i was talking to Kilee she told me that they were going to bear lake and invited us to camp on the lawn of the cabin!!! That's exactly what we did! Sure there were beds for us to sleep in, inside the cabin but that wouldn't be very fun! So we just drove up for the night and played on the boats in the morning!! It was so fun! Thanks Ki and Ty for letting us come play!

Cory Learned to wake surf!! He got up and did awesome, even let go of the rope a few times!
Pro wake boarder.....Jumped the wake......360......toe touch......Just kidding! Sadly that was my first wake board of the season because of finishing school and the wedding we didn't really have time to go boating!! I was pretty sore the next few days!

........Its pretty simple.......it was about 11pm and we were bored, so naturally we grabbed the goggles and the picnic blanket, jumped on the bikes and headed down to Burgess park to star gaze!!!

Notice the ponytail....ha ha I was playing with his hair about thirty minutes before this picture and with him not knowing, i put that in!!! The best part of it, he had no idea!! It was not till after dinner that i finally couldn't keep a straight face anymore and busted up laughing!

In deciding where we were going to go on our honeymoon, we had thought of Hawaii, Paris.....jk i wish!! But i had never been to Cancun, and Cory had! He had nothing but good things to say about the AMAZINGLY BLUE WATER.....and he was right!!!

Here we have a lifeguard station.....maybe he was on his lunch break? ha ha

The hotel was all inclusive so we really only spent about 100 dollars besides the hotel, that was for food in the airports and snorkeling!! We were the only ones on the tour so the little swimming man...i don't remember his name, was awesome and took us to the coolest spots!!

We wanted to take a picture by the name of the hotel so this huge group stood back so we could get a good one.....little did they know now they are apart of our history! I love the little man with his hands on his hips, he looks like he was in charge!

At all inclusive hotels they even have a few restaurants that are included in the price, This one we ate at all most every night!! It was really good! The little Mexican workers loved to tease us and pretend they put alcohol in our drinks....One time (half way through) Cory's drink he leans over to me to have me taste it to see if it tasted weird.... sure enough it burned going down!!! I like how Cory waited till he was half way through!! ha ha jk babe!

If this would have fit in my suitcase....it would have been mine! I love how unique it is!

On our way home we had a connecting flight from Houston to SLC..... Well there was a HUGE thunderstorm over Houston and we didn't have enough fuel to wait for it to pass so we flew over to the closest airport to refuel and wait for the storm to clear! When we finally got back to Houston we had missed our flight by 25 mins! The next flight was at 7am, we didn't see any need to get a hotel so we slept in the airport! Shockingly enough those airport chairs are not as comfortable as they look..;)

This is us pretending to sleep....we tried to pull an all-nighter but i could only win and sudoku so much!!! ha ha
